This original German World War II M42 combat helmet is a large-sized, no-decal example manufactured by the prominent firm Emaillierwerke A.G. in Fulda (EF). The interior features stamped factory codes on the skirt alongside its original M31 leather liner suspension system and an attached leather chinstrap, both presenting heavy, honest service wear. To maximize production efficiency and conserve critical labor, manufacturing facilities eliminated the traditional rolled edge found on the earlier M35 and M40 models, leaving a raw, slightly flared rim instead.
