This original German World War II Heer (Army) enlisted man’s combat belt buckle is an example produced by the firm of Bernhard Haarmann in Lüdenscheid. The face features the standard Army eagle clutching a swastika, encircled by a dynamic oak leaf wreath and the traditional Gott Mit Uns motto against a crisp pebbled background. This specimen retains a notable amount of its original field-grey finish within the recessed details, showcasing sharp definition on the lettering and central roundel. These buckles were an essential component of the enlisted soldier's field gear, supporting the heavy load of ammunition pouches and equipment across all combat theaters.
