Vietnam War Viet Cong Liberation Banner Dated 1972 Political Flag

$425.00Price

Original Vietnam War period Viet Cong / National Liberation Front style political banner dated 1972, featuring the iconic red and blue liberation flag design with central star and hand-painted Vietnamese script slogans. The banner displays multiple lines of Vietnamese text including: “Lực lượng vũ trang giải phóng miền Nam Việt Nam” Translation: “Armed Forces for the Liberation of South Vietnam” and “Bộ đội địa phương tỉnh Bến Tre chiến thắng Giồng Trôm 1972” Translation referencing a “Local Force Unit of Bến Tre Province victorious at Giồng Trôm, 1972.” Bến Tre Province was a historically important Viet Cong stronghold within the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War, making this a particularly displayable and research-worthy regional liberation piece. The hand-painted construction and field-made appearance add strong authenticity and period character. An excellent Cold War and Vietnam War display item with strong visual appeal, ideal for advanced collectors of communist, Viet Cong, or Southeast Asian militaria. Condition: please review photos for full details. Measures approximately 41.5 inches by 31 inches.
