Republic of Venezuela Order of Francisco Miranda . Commander's Star

$200.00Price

The Republic of Venezuela Order of Francisco de Miranda, Commander’s Star, by N.S. Meyer Inc., is a well-constructed mid-20th century example of one of Venezuela’s principal national honors. This Commander's grade represents the mid-tier class within the order, awarded for distinguished merit in science, culture, and public service under the modern Venezuelan honors system established in the late 1930s .

This large breast star features the classic eight-pointed radiating design with red enamel center bearing the name of national hero Francisco de Miranda. Pieces produced by N.S. Meyer of New York are particularly well-regarded among collectors for their quality and consistent manufacturing standards, and are commonly encountered in official diplomatic and state presentation sets.

Commander's Stars of this type remain a strong area of interest for collectors of Latin American orders and Cold War–era decorations, with steady demand due to their visual impact, maker association, and historical significance. A solid, display-ready example that fits well into both specialized order collections and broader international militaria groupings.
