Polish People’s Republic “Na Straży Pokoju” Peace Medal
Vintage Polish People’s Republic commemorative medal bearing the inscription “Na Straży Pokoju,” translating to “On Guard for Peace.” The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle over a radiating background, accompanied by the words “Bałtyk,” “Odra-Nysa,” and “Pokoju,” referencing the Baltic, Oder–Neisse frontier, and peace. The medal is suspended from its accompanying multicolored ribbon. The piece displays surface wear, age toning, oxidation, and handling marks consistent with its age.
