Milpar marked U.S. M5/M5A1 bayonet, designed for use with the M1 Garand rifle. This example features a black checkered grip, steel guard, fullered blade, and accompanying scabbard with web hanger. The M5 series bayonet was developed as the later bayonet pattern for the M1 Garand and saw continued use into the Vietnam War period.
