German WWII Luftwaffe presentation desk eagle mounted on a tall display base with a black stone-style plinth. The eagle is modeled in the early “droop tail” Luftwaffe style, clutching a swastika and displaying strong three-dimensional detail to the wings, body, talons, and feathers. The front of the base retains a dedication plaque inscribed “In Dankbarkeit Gruppe 19,” translating to “With gratitude, Group 19.” Pieces of this type were often presented as awards, tokens of appreciation, or commemorative desk displays connected to official Luftwaffe service or achievement. Measures approximately 14 inches tall overall, with the eagle measuring approximately 4.25 inches tall including the swastika and a wingspan of approximately 9.75 inches.
