German M38 pattern “Gladiator” steel helmet shell used by the Luftschutz air raid protection organization during the Second World War. Finished in the characteristic Luftschutz blue paint and retaining a well-visible front decal featuring the Luftschutz winged insignia. This example is offered as a shell only, with the liner absent. The helmet still displays strong visual appeal with honest service wear, paint loss, and age consistent with period use. A recognizable and iconic piece of German civil defense equipment from the wartime period.
