The Wochenspruch der NSDAP, or “NSDAP Weekly Quotation,” was a series of propaganda display prints issued for public presentation throughout Germany. These posters were commonly placed in offices, schools, workplaces, and other public spaces, carrying short political, ideological, or morale-focused statements.
The German text reads:
“Was kann einem Volke geschehen, dessen Jugend auf alles verzichtet, um seinem größten Ideale zu dienen.”
Literal translation:
“What can happen to a people whose youth renounces everything in order to serve its greatest ideal.”
This example is marked along the lower margin as Wochenspruch der NSDAP, Folge 9, dated 23. Februar bis 1. März 1941, published by the Reichspropagandaleitung and Zentralverlag der NSDAP, München.
